The Future & The Environment

We are pleased to be able to offer a range of Benson Airconditioning systems which are suitable for homes and offices and which use R290 - a naturally occurring refrigerant.
In initial testing, results showed a 15 - 22% reduction in energy consumption for a unit adapted to run on R290 as opposed to the same unit adapted to run on R22 - a refrigerant which is being gradually phased out. [R290 and a Hydrocarbon Future]

New Product Release

16.4 Kilowatt Ducted System on Single Phase

We are proud to confirm that an Australian made soft starter is now fitted to our 16.4 kW ducted systems.
It has taken a long time to get a unit this large onto the WA market - a soft starter to reduce the inrush current from 132 amps to less that 45 amps was required in order to comply with Synergy specifications. [Benson Ducted Systems]

Coming Soon

Benson Chilled Water Systems

Self-install world-wide application coming soon.

Explosion Proof Systems

We have developed an explosion proof split air conditioning system for use in hazardous areas. Our first prototype is currently being tested and will be released during 2009. [EXD Systems]

Pool Heating

Benson Airconditioning is in the process of developing a pool heating system for domestic use

Benson Hot Water Systems

Benson Airconditioning is in the process of developing a hot water system for domestic use. Our first prototype is currently being tested and will be released during 2009.

Our commitment to the environment

Carbon Neutral Logo

All Benson units sold with the R290 Refrigerant will be supplied Carbon Neutral for "the first year of operation"*. Benson Airconditioning will buy trees to offset the CO² created by the electricity made to run your Benson Enviro3 system.

R290 has only a Global Warming Potential of 3, compared to R410a which has a Global Warming Potential of 1890.

Choosing a R290 system combined with our commitment to offsetting the CO² for the first 12 months is a "Win Win situation for You, Your Family and Planet Earth."

*Energy Rating Australia Allows 400 hours total per Year for its base calculation to compare units and we are using this number of hours running to calculate the number of trees to purchase.

Benson uses Hychill

Hychill and Environmental Choice Australia

The refrigerant used in Benson Enviro3 Airconditioning systems is by Hychill.

Benson uses Hychill Minus 40 (R290), a naturally occurring refrigerant which has been certified to display the "Environmental Choice Australia" logo.

Hychill's range of natural organic hydrocarbon refrigerants are the only refrigerants on the market to have achieved certification with the Good Environmental Choice Label.
