Standard Warranty Conditions and Terms

Important note - These terms and conditions do not apply to:
- Equipment supplied for underground mining use
- EXD systems
- Misting systems
- Evaporative systems
- Swimming Pool Heaters
- Chilled Water Systems

Warranty Commissioning Card
When you have a Benson Airconditioning product installed, you will be supplied with a copy of our warranty terms and conditions, as well as a warranty commissioning card. Please read the documentation thoroughly and ensure your installer completes the warranty commissioning card.
The warranty on your Benson product will not be void if not completed but - given our system represents a significant investment for you - we want to ensure it has been installed correctly.

Domestic 5 Years Parts, Labour and Compressor
Commercial 12 months Parts, Labour and Compressor
What is covered by the Warranty?
This warranty covers all Defects in Materials and Workmanship of the Benson Airconditioning unit only.
Warranty is for the original purchaser only.
Warranty is void if equipment is installed in any mobile application.
Submitting a Warranty Claim - Essential Information
When submitting a warranty claim for our consideration, you will need to ensure you provide us with:
- Original proof of purchase (i.e. your invoice and purchase receipt)
- The installing Refrigeration Mechanic's ARC number
- The installing Electrician's License Number
Parts and Services
Parts and Services which you may be required to pay for at standard Benson Airconditioning Parts and Service rates include:
- Service calls carried out outside normal working hours (8.00am to 5.00pm, Monday - Friday)
- Service calls carried out more than 20km from a standard Service Agent's office/workshop.
- Repairs needed because of:
- Cockroach or other insect or animal damage.
- Accident, misuse, negligence or tampering.
- Use other than the operating manual instructions.
- Use from abnormal operating conditions, i.e. operating the system outside its recommended operating limits
- Use within the system's original design criteria, without the system being regularly maintained and serviced.
- Lightning strikes and acts of God.
- Power surges and brown outs.
- Salt build up, or rust, or corrosion, or damage resulting from the system's location in a high humidity area
- Repairs or attempted repairs by anyone other than Benson Airconditioning or an authorized service agent.
- Using your air-conditioner on incorrect line voltage.
- Controls, batteries, power supply or other adjustments or installation corrections, which you could have made.
- Difficult access to your air-conditioner (Ladders are for access only)
- Routine maintenance, ordinary wear and tear and repairs needed other than resulting from ordinary domestic or commercial use.
- Units installed on mobile equipment.
